Numio version 2 is here… and much more!
For those who do not know what we have been up to recently, the team has been quite busy. Our version 2 launched mid July, Numio secured a funding round, our new website launched, we formed strategic integration partnerships with Storj and Paraswap, along with continuing to make Numio the best Layer 2 non-custodial Ethereum wallet in the crypto space. Let’s dive in and check out the recent developments.
The Numio App
OK, where to begin? Let’s start from the ground up. Over the past few months, we have learned a lot about how users interact with wallets and where they get stuck. We took that great feedback from our users and community and put it into a beautiful new app, making Numio the best layer 2 focused Ethereum wallet on the market, and the first app utilizing zkRollups on Google Play.
We have refined our on-boarding and recovery process, made layer 2 interactions easier to use, solved for complicated key management and added over 300+ new tokens on layer 1, along with over a dozen on layer 2.
The security and safety and our users remains top priority, that is why certain interactions, like preventing users from taking screenshots of their seed words, although a minor detail, is important for a users key security. These are the types of things we think about.
Tokens Tokens Tokens – We have added over 300+ tokens! Simply import your wallet and access your favorite ERC-20 right from your pocket. We will continue to add new features, such as when importing a wallet any imported tokens will automatically activate allowing you to access them immediately.
Wallet selection and interaction – Understanding your wallet, what is in it, and how to use it, is key to offering a frictionless experience. We have made lots of changes to how users select wallets, tokens and more.
Informational screens – We have spent a lot of effort refining interaction feedback and notifications when users interact with the app. Informative popups and receipts, along with haptic vibration feedback, when sending or receiving transactions.
The Integration Partnerships
The zkSync playground is growing and we couldn’t be more excited to share some information about our new official partnerships. There is so much innovation going on with the zkSync ecosystem that it is allowing us, Numio, to offer you more.
In no particular order, first up is our partnership with Storj. We are always looking out for strategic ways we can provide the best security, UI, and feature sets to our users, and decentralizing the way we store profile and token assets using Storj DCS (Decentralized Cloud Storage) is just the start. With the launch of our v2, we offloaded over 13,000 profile assets and 300+ tokens to decentralized asset storage.
What you can expect next is real exciting for the Storj community. Here is what Mark Anstead, our Director of Business Development said on the Storj Community forum:

Next up is our partnership with Paraswap. We will be working with decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregation service, Paraswap, to bring Layer 2 token swaps to Numio, woohoo!
This will allow users of the Numio app to quickly and easily swap one L2 token for another L2 token, all in app, right from your mobile device. Working with Paraswap will give our users the best rate possible for this interaction. Since Numio and Paraswap are both building on zkSync, swaps will inherit increased speed and reduced cost to transact.
This is currently in development and we will be moving into testing sooner than later.
The Numio Website
It was long overdue, but we felt it only natural to give our website a complete refreshed design to match our beautiful new Layer 2 UI focused application. You can find lots of in-app screenshots that highlight the new UI, learn how to use the app and more. Not only can you learn about what Numio has to offer, but we are also continuing to provide educational material on layer 2, scalability, zkSync and other key aspects of the space.
