What is the Boonji Project?
The Boonji Project is a collection of 11,111 unique digital NFTs registered on the Ethereum blockchain. The bespoke items feature various, and very intensive, backgrounds centered around spacemen dressed in astronaut suits. Boonji was created to not only give holders verifiable ownership, but also to provide them with exclusive perks and numerous benefits directly tied to their NFTs. These include joining the Boonji Spaceman on its ventures, and gaining private access to a multitude of member-only events, networking, merchandise, and other digital/physical artwork. The Boonji Roadmap serves as an outline of what the community can unlock by achieving milestones—reaching different planets, in Boonji-words.
How did the Boonji Project begin?
Launched and created by the world-renowned artist Brendan Murphy, each item within the Boonji Project was pragmatically generated using Brendan’s all-time portfolio that is put onto notorious elements, such as the space suit bust, and thematic backgrounds. According to their official website, each Boonji Avatar is a one-off piece, with entirely unique elements. However, there are certain NFTs that are rarer than others, unlocking numerous features that their counterparts don’t provide access to. This difference in scarcity is said to be a result of the underlying algorithm that facilitated the minting of the collection. As for their value, the Boonji Avatars had no reported minimum price, so even their initial valuation was solely determined by market conditions.
What’s next for the Boonji Project?
The project has ambitious plans in store, as their after-launch roadmap displays seven Boonji Planets that represent the major milestones of the project. These are Kaido, Meela, Neeve, Luulee, Sueño, Ohana, and Bu, which each come with a detailed description and trigger criteria. All of them come with different, new benefits to Boonji NFT holders, but they share some elements, too, namely the emphasis on community and networking, that Boonji has undoubtedly made one of its core values early on. If you’d like to participate in Boonji’s journey with the Spaceman, visit their official website, where you can be the first to know about the latest updates and news regarding the project.
